Troubleshoot MSFS Add-on Issues

Having problems with your third-party add-ons in Microsoft Flight Simulator? Try these tips and methods to figure out what the issue could be, and know how to proceed with a fix

There are many factors that could be the reason behind issues you are seeing in the simulator, these include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Conflict with another addon in the community folder. This is the most common reason
  • Conflict with a utility such as Navigraph, FSUIPC, etc
  • Issue with stored cache causing conflicts
  • Issue with installation of the simulator

How can I fix these issues?

Stage 1

  1. Remove ALL folders from the community folder. (You can save them in a folder on the desktop temporarily)
  2. Load up the simulator and spawn at add-on airport
    This will clear the cache
  3. Exit the simulator, and add ONLY the add-on airport to the community folder.
  4. Load up the simulator and spawn at add-on airport

If the issue persists, continue to Stage 2 below

Keep the troublesome add-on as the only addon in the community folder
